I am in the process of converting from an automatic to manual transmission. I am installing a TKX 5 speed that I got from Silver Sport. I have an issue with the clutch/brake pedal assembly they sent. When you push the clutch all the way down it hits the large fuse for the flashers.
I am questiong if I was sent the wrong set of pedals. When I got my shipment from them this bag was previously opened. I was hoping that someone who has a 67 manual trans could take some pictures of thier pedals and clearance to the fuse. Or if somebody might have any additional insight on this.
Thanks all!
Drew
No, it's a thing; mine did it, too. The ghetto fix is to extend it out of fuse box with wire and spade connectors. Otherwise, call the manufacturer to see what they say.

I appreciate the feedback and suggestion. Bummer that it has to be Jerry-Rigger. So it sounds like it's a reproduction part issue?

You're not using reproduction parts; you're using aftermarket performance parts made for many applications. The 1967 flasher fuse was not considered in its design. Minor, sometimes major, fitment is required when putting a non-original part in the car. Now, if you had put a 67's clutch pedal in it, that would be different.

That style clutch pedal is for the 1968-72 cars, which is why you have a problem.
Joe, thanks for the feedback. So my question now, did they mess up and send me the 68-72 version or is this just what they are passing off as an aftermarket part?

I suspect the latter, but I have no idea what they were thinking
Used assemblies come up as available every now and then. I just recently removed the pedal assembly from a '67 442 body which I acquired as a donor. Shoot me a PM if you are interested in purchasing it. I'm at Exit 7, I-95 in Georgia.
I ended up ordering another brake/clutch assembly from the Parts Place that states it is for a 1967 Cutlass. Well, as no big surprise, the same issue existed. I ended up modifying the pedal that Silver Sport sent and it clears the fuse and operates as it should.
