what are my tranny options mating to my 394

alright i know there are several threads on trannys that will mate up to a 394 with an adapter kiit

but im not sure if ive found all options

i would like to start with if it is possible to have a working set of lightning rods with a tranny that will mate up with an adapter kit

id like to know how to go this route what tranny to use as im pretty sure the 200r4 might not be the wisest choice as i plan to beef up the motor

what other 4 spd auto trannys are there that lightning rods will work with
that there are adapters to mate to a 394 ????

WTH is a lightning rod? Depending on what year Olds you have (I take it 64 with Roto-hydramatic 10 (slim jim)) you could bolt a dual coupling (jetaway) hydramatic or the older dual range (two band) hydramatic. The older dual range hydramatic would not have the PARK position, but park is buried in R with engine off. Other than those, you will need some sort of adapter. Check with Ross Racing, they are making a pretty nice adapter for the TH400.

Get a hold of Tony at Ross Racing Engines. He has TH400/350's Made for the early rocket engines. He also makes aluminum heads.
