St 300 solenoid Cover?
Pic on the left is the wire hanging where it’s not supposed to be (obviously) but the pass through connector cover is jammed up with 50 year old corroded wire. Can’t find a new one anywhere online and I have no idea where this wire goes to so I can replace it. Any help is greatly appreciated!!

On my '68 Jetaway (ST300), that wire went to a switch on the accelerator pedal and is used to kick-down to 1st gear for passing when you floor it.
When I swapped the trans, I could not get the connector (if that is what it is) off of the transmission, so I had to cut the wire. I never did get it apart to see how it connected to the solenoid inside the trans.
