Unknown transmission

I just bought a 350 olds B block with #8 heads. It came with this transmission that I have no idea what it is! I have th350 right next to it, and they look nothing alike. Can anyone give some help?

That appears to be the dreaded Th200 trans. That’s the only tear wheel drive trans I know of with a one price case/extension housing. The Th250 looks basically the same as the TH350, but has a band adjusting bolt/nut on the side of the case.

Thanks Matt! I have heard of the th200, and was kinda figuring that is what it was, since it came out of an 83 base cutlass. Thanks for the info!! Good thing I have a couple of th350s hanging around my garage.

TH200 pan uses 11 bolts, TH250 and TH350 pans use 13 bolts. Is that a converter lockup wiring plug I see on the driver's side?

When I get some time, I will count the pan bolts today. I am not sure what those wires are but they are there. How can i check?

Sounds like a Hodge Podged assortment. I actually got sent a TH200 by my local wrecker, not even a lock up like that one, instead of a TH2004R. The skinny one piece design is a dead giveaway, also takes abuse about as well as a wet noodle, both a similar shape.
