BPO 700r4

Hello All!

Is anyone here familiar with the 700r4 with a BPO housing conversion? There is a company I am considering going with called Animal Performance Transmission, Inc. that sells a 700r4 with a BPO housing. Any thoughts on that?

Thanks in advance!

It sounds like that’s a standard 700 with the bellhoisnimg cut off and a ultrabell bolted on. I didn’t know anyone made a ultrabell for a 700, maybe this one is unique to this company. It would probably be cheaper to use a Chevy 700 with a Chevy to BOP adapter plate.

I have a Chevy bolt pattern TH700R4 bolted to my Olds 350. I used a simple adapter and it worked fine, although way back when it was actually a BOP trans to Chevy V8 adapter so we had to reverse engineer it to go the other way. Now it's available either way under $100.
