Transmission mount replacement

Pretty sure the TH350 transmission mount in my 1972 Cutlass vert is worn out and I want to replace it. Is it a given I need to remove the crossmember to get at the bolts holding the mount to transmission after I remove the 2 bolts I can see? Or can I jack up the trans high enough to get at these without removing the crossmember. I'll be holding the trans up with a floor jack and a block of wood.

You should be able to jack the trans high enough so that you don't need to remove the crossmember.
