I know im looking for a unichorn that farts rainbows.. but does anyone have any idea where i can get a sidemount dash tach for a 66 442? My old dash had one at one point but it was pilfered at some point before i bought it. And yes i realize the pricetag im looking at

 

I've seen a few on eBay, haven't checked recently though and yes, they were very expensive.

 

Doesn't BAP or The Parts Place or Fusick or somebody do a repop?

 

I have this one coming back from a very reputable speedometer shop
here in Seattle WA , hopefully next week...

it was pulled in the late 70's from a 66 4 speed car that was totaled
and being parted out.....

It would not work at idle but would start working around 2000 and be real
jumpy ....

It has super nice chrome and has no corrosion as the car was super
nice,and was recently wrecked, and just showed up in the wrecking yard back then

the motor was gone and this is all the wiring I pulled

these are b4 pictures ... the outer front housing will be repainted
and the tach detailed also...

open to reasonable offers b4 I decide what to do with it, as I have mostly
GTO's now and will never have a 66 ,,,,,,,

I sold one to a fellow about twenty years ago, and it's still sitting on his shelf !!
Black, taken from my 66 Cutlass back in the day. I'll let him know someone actually needs one. He might want to play, you never know

 

I would like to find one also. But for a fare price.
