1964 Axle flange

Rebuilding the rear end and a previous owner had some work done and it appears they cut the axle flange in half and rewelded it back together. Where can i find one for my 1964 Jetstar88

Good luck finding one.
My parts book says that this axle is all by itself, fits only 1964 Jetstar 88.
Factory part number is 383316.

I'll bet one of the racing axle places (Strange, Moser) could make one if it comes to that... good luck.

The Jetstar 88 rear axle housing is the same as the 8.2" axle housing used on the A-body cars, EXCEPT for the length of the axle tubes, which are longer for the wider B-body application. If you are talking about the flange at the outboard end of the axle tube, where the brake backing plate attaches, this is the same flange as used on every other 8.2" axle from that vintage. The bigger question is, if the flange has been re-welded correctly and is perpendicular to the tube and the bearing fits correctly, why mess with it? A proper weld is at least as strong as the parent metal.
