I had to make this tool to pull it out this far. I don't see any way to release it from the accelerator pedal on my 73 cutlass.

it's gonna be tricky to hook it up...

 

Internet telling me to disconnect other end but it's through the pedal arm under dash. No slot or nothing I can see. I'm thinking I'm gonna have to cut the rubber off the pedal end and then make a new stopper out of a piece of hose or something 🤔

 

Ok got it... just need to pop the white thing out.
