steer box

After completely rebuilding the front end and rear on my 69 Cutlass, there is one weak link left ...the steer box. I would prefer to to KEEP MY BOX, so a rebuild exchange is pretty much out. Has anyone done one? is it difficult? I'm not a complete moron and could probably do it? any kits better than others? or a good place to send it and reduce my stress level.

thanks

This is who I used, he rebuilt mine with the faster ratio for better handling/turning.

thanks, I'll check um out ...

BTW, is that a factor blue on your 442? Mine was repainted years ago and clearly the wrong blue....(easily compared via large sections of missing paint) I'm trying to see if the factory blue is something I would like when and if the day comes.

thanks

That color in the avatar pic is Nassau Blue, but it's now Trophy Blue (still in pieces)

WOW, you took THAT apart ? The Nassau doesn't look too bad ....I just don't know if I want to change my color ...and if so, to what? i would love to keep the blue int. but I'm not rich and from what I have seen ....nothing matches between blues, with black, its black ....slight differences will be missed.

thanks
