Pressure release from Automatic Trans filler

I have a 1957 Olds Super 88 that I recently purchased. So most of this car is new to me. Recently it has started to discharge some sort of back pressure from the transmission filler, this is an automatic transmission. I have done nothing to the transmission and have only had the car for a few months BUT this is something new to me. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I have no idea if this is a problem or normal and could find nothing in the manual.

Thanks.

1st thing is to make sure it's not overfilled. Too much fluid in hot weather will definitely make one puke out the dipstick tube or vent.

Next- find the vent tube and make sure it's not plugged. Dirt daubers and similar critters like to build nests in places like that. I had to replace a hose on my pressure washer last year because they built nests in both ends and plugged it up good.

Thanks it was out in a field for months. I will hunt down the tube and see what I can find.
