vacuum modulator

vacuum modulator

i was pulling my intake off and noticed when i was disconnecting the vacuum lines i had some tranny fluid run out of the line the connects to the small tube the runs down to the tranny vacuum modulator...My question is,,,Should the intake vacuum suck tranny fluid out of the modulator or is the modulator bad and need replaced..

Yes, it''s bad! Vacuum diaphram [rubber] cracked!
Aftermarket ones from B+M are adjustable, [small screwdriver down the tube] and let you 'fine tune' your shift points!
