Turbo 400 I’d tag
I’m having trouble finding this on the web so I’ll try asking here . I have a bop turbo400 trans with the id tag number pb-66-194275.i see no other numbers on the housing .curious what this was originally from and what year? It was rebuilt and ran in a 70 gto for a while but not its original trans. Thanks
For future reference:
On TH00s, the first letter usually is the division. O = Oldsmobile, P=Pontiac, B=Buick, C=Chevy, A=Cadillac. There were a handful exceptions - for example Buick used OW transmissions in some Stage 1 cars. Then there are the oddball applications. M=AM General, R=Rolls Royce, E=Volvo trucks.
The second letter is the specific application within the division.
The two digits are the year.
