Transmission Rebuild Chicago recommendations
#6
Be advised, if you are seeking a performance upgrade/rebuild you don't
want to use a run of the mill transmission repair shop. I'm in this area too
and I have a friend who owns a shop in Streamwood by me for 25 years now.
I would highly recommend you give it a shot yourself.
It's not as hard as you'd think with the right Video tutorials that are available.
(God knows these transmissions were like scarey voodoo to me also before 2011)

These DVD's are worth their weight in Gold.
Then you can also print the exploded diagram here into an 11x17 and laminate it for reference.

These 2 things combined, with a few easy to acquire tools and you'll be done in a weekend.
