Trans "screech" when in reverse

Hi...Paul here. I have a '68 4-4-2 with a recently rebuilt automatic trans. When I start the car and put it into reverse it sometimes makes a loud screeching sound - the only way to describe the sound - it is similar to a starter grind when you turn the ignition when a motor is already running. It makes that bad noise when I go into reverse. I have this problem more often when the engine is cold. Any help would be very much appreciated. Thanks.

I don't have help for you but have the same issue on one I had built a few years back. This will get me updated when someone helps.

Can anyone recommend a good transmission shop in North New Jersey (Mossris County area)? Thanks,
