Which trans in 61 Super?

Wikipedia for a 61 88: "A new three-speed "Roto" Hydra-matic transmission that was smaller and lighter than the previous four-speed unit was introduced as an option" I know Pontiac models below the Bonneville in those years got the roto, Bonne body was longer and got the 4 spd hydra. So which trans did the 61 super 88 get?

All '61 Oldsmobiles had the Roto.

I was beginning the trading questions stage on this 61 Super 88 convert near where I live. My father in the day ordered a 60 Dynamic 88 (I used to race a friend with a 6cyl Mustang.. it was a dead heat) so it would be the four speed hydro I assumed... No rotos for me. I dodged the bullet. Now I know why it's $16.9 Beautiful car though.

That looks like a heck of a deal to me!! Super 88 convertible with factory air and added console & buckets and its a national show winner? Whats not to love?

I've seen 61 Buick Le Sabres (factory dual quads) with a factory muncie shifter sticking up thru what had to be the rarest Buick consoles, don't know where you'd find one for this car? Can you put a 350/400 trans in there?

Not without cutting the tunnel and building a cross member then paying for an expensive adapter. That being said,I'm not a Slim Jim guy at all but a person couldn't build that car for that kind money.Nice ride... Tedd
