th400 trans fluid

How much trans fluid does a th400 take? The trans is bone dry right now.

You will keep pouring it in, and looking under the car because it MUST be leaking out somewhere. Just keep pouring.

It's between 10-12 depending on your converter. I would put eight in and then start it up and let it get warm while moving the gear selector through the positions. I don't recommend driving it until it's full. Once warm begin checking it and keep in mind that the fill line is a pint not a quart. I just went through this with my TH400 swap. Hopefully you don't have leaks like I did
