I'm trying to find pictures of the proper mounting locations for the transmission cooling lines in my 67 Cutlass, and I'm having no luck.
Does anyone have photos of the trans lines leading from the trans, under the engine, connecting to the radiator? Specifically, how are the lines attached to the oil pan? Is there a bracket?
It sounds like these should be routed away from the oil pan. With other GM models, the bracket is bolted directly to the oil pan, but that's not the case with our cars.
Does anyone have any photos of the proper routing of the lines? I'm trying to wiggle these into place, trying to avoid contacting the hot exhaust, etc... I'm guessing someone has a show car that has these routed correctly?

Reason: for clarity
Not a 'restoration quality' job, but they are hooked up and flowing transmission fluid, so a success for this daily driver. I used some inexpensive Chevelle lines, hence the weird bends, but it works, so I'm not complaining.
Transmission Cooling Lines - view of the transmission connection
Transmission Cooling Lines - a closeup of the top of the crossmember, there's a hole for the bracket, and the bracket holds these tubes in place, away from the exhaust manifold
Yeah, my ride looks a little rough, then again it's a daily driver
I have fantasies about hooking up a single turbo, so I may remove the dual exhaust and use that crossover pipe once again to merge into a single exhaust for the turbo.
It would be really cool if someone could post some good restoration quality photos of their lines (vs. my hack job), that would be a good way to cap off this thread, but in the interim, maybe these photos will help the next guy
