New Transmission for my 70 Cutlass

Have redone entire 70 cutlass 350 car except for tranny and drivetrain. Engine .030 bored, mild cam, rolling chain, etc. Car is now stalling while in Drive at stop lights (doesn't stall in Neutral or if I give it some gas while on brake). Friends (also mechanics) say I need to replace torque converter but while I'm at it should replace automatic tranny and convert rear to posi and change gears if I really want to see the thing go.

If I go down this path, any recommendations on which tranny?

Mild cam?? What does the cam manufacturer recommend for the stall on your converter. Has it done this all along since your rebuild?? Does it vibrate or make funny noises when driving?? What is your idle set at now?

Or could it possibly be something is out of whack with your tune.
