Linkage clip install

I feel like I’m pretty good at figuring things out, but I’m tired of wasting time today. Plus the neighbors can hear the cussing for miles I

think.

How is this clip secured to the clutch rod? I know it needs to come back over the rod end I just can’t get it. It’s tucked up there pretty good.

assume there’s a magical tool or trick I just don’t know about.

Don’t want to pull the z-bar if I don’t have to……

Thanks!

Flip it over. The end that passes through the hole points away from the arm. That way the clip provides a spring force to keep the linkage from rattling. You're also apparently missing a bushing in the hole the arm.

Thanks. I figured it out right after I posted this. It just slides on. It was bent up little too. Sometimes just walking away helps.

I think maybe that hole is just worn out. Don’t see a bushing in the manual. I’ll look some more bu I might just have to z-bar. What’s one more part and a week more or less.

appreciate the response

as usual Joe is spot on flip the clip over but there is no bushing on the clutch fork end of the Z- bar , it looks like that hole is badly worn out and the Z-bar needs replaced or welded and it has to be removed to do it

Yeah, I should have checked the z-bar out better when I tore this down (it cleaned up nice so I went on to next thing).

All of this linkage is going to be new now.

Thanks again!
