Part ID 77 Cutlass Please :]

Just rebuilt the stock carb on my 77 cutlass engine code r 4bbl, and had 1 thing left over when I was done UGH! Anyone recognize this tiny retainer clip? there was not one included in the echlins rebuild kit. looks like this clip and is very small Thanks !

look at the linkage going to your choke flap, passenger side, i cant remember exactly without seeing the carb but the linkage will have a groove around the end that the clip goes in.... I think

Yes, there are a couple of places where a clip like that can be used on certain pieces of linkage - the top of the choke linkage is one, and if I recall, there is also a spot on the driver's side.

Your kit may have come with different clips, that are round and made of soft metal, that you crimp on with pliers, so you may have used one of those clips instead of the old one.
I like this style of clip better than the cheaper crimp-on clips.

Thanks you so much guys for the quick help and welcome. Was concerned it was from the inside of the carb, seems to be an extra hopefully. Car is up an running today woot!

Yes, since these clips tend to fly away, never to be seen again, the kit may contain an extra.

most kit contain extra clips and gaskets,as long as everything is working and not falling apart,dont wory
