Hard Shifting Into Gear

I've put about 3-4000 miles on my car now and it's rather suddenly decided that it doesn't want to go into reverse without grinding (yes, I'm stopped). First doesn't seem as bad but it does seem to require a little more "push" than before. I'm guessing it's just a clutch adjustment but I wanted a couple of opinions before I put it up in the air to adjust it. The clutch does seem to engage with the pedal really close to the floor.

It's an M20 with a "stock" GM clutch

That should be a simple clutch adjustment. Just put a little more length into the clutch rod so the clutch engages with less pedal. You only need about an inch of free pedal before it starts to resist.

The jam nut had loosened. I reached under the car and got it adjusted well enough to go to a car show 40 miles away and back

Thanks again
