floor shifter question, 71 cutlass

Hi
Does anyone know how to get the lever you lift up on to change gears off of the handle. I need to remove it to install the shifter seal that slides back and forth when you shift to different gears. Its the part below the shifter ball that looks like a tee.
Thanks,
Mike

There's a little allen screw that holds it on.

Well, if I remember right. It's probably been eight years since I had one in front of me.

Its been a few weeks since your post, but I had to do this this past weekend on my 72. Mine had a pin that I had to stick a very small screwdriver into and bang it out. If you haven't done it already, hope that helps!
