1971 cutlass supreme floor shifter

does anyone kno how you would go about hooking up the stock floor shifter with to the stock th350 trans....the only parts i have are the shifter and kickdown cable...the bracket for the kickdown cable

how would i go about the rest of the parts people around my area dont seem to have any thing for me .....is there a way i could rig it up a diffrent way...........also if i bought a shift kit would i have to change the stock shifter

Welcome to the site! If I were you the first thing I would do is purchase a 1971 Oldsmobile Chassis Service Manual. I think you'll find it helpful in many different tasks you may want to do to your car. I believe they show a diagram of the floor shifter and console, where all the fasteners are and what parts you need to install it.

Hi there; The shift kit you refer to, as I know it, is installed inside the trans to make the tranny shift better...as for the other you need a 350 trans bracket that attaches to the left side of the trans pan with two of the pan bolts and then a short bracket that attaches to the shift stud that is sticking out from the side of the trans..and then a 350 shift cable and a couple of clips to attach the cable to the two brackets front and rear..and some time...PS. where the heck are you...
