Driveshaft length Q

Going from a TH-350 to a 200R4 with an 8.5 rear is all the same, as far as drive shaft length goes. Would a 10 inch Olds rear change the drive shaft length with said 200R4 or is it the same?

TIA.

The lenght of the turbo 350 and the 200r4 is pretty close, I think the 200r4 is about 7/8 longer.

The mount is in a different spot. Nothing a little drilling in you existing crossmember can't handle.

The yoke is different.

You'll need to convert the 200r4 to vacuum controled over computer controled. TCI just came out with a kit for that. It's $90 but IDK if you need to buy the extra vacuum valve for $30. Look in GM transmissions, under misc

This kit just came out in Janurary

Actually, the mount is in the TH400 location. And Olds built from 1967-on should already have the mounting holes for this location. If you have a 1967-72 car, be aware that the e-brake cables need to change to the TH400 cables since they hang off the crossmember and relocating the crossmember changes the front and intermediate cable lengths.

The 200-4R uses the same driveshaft yoke as the TH350. Only the TH400 and the M22 Muncie have the larger yoke.

I have no idea what a "10 inch Olds rear" is.
