Cutless

I broke my shifter on my 1972 Cutless supreme it’s a console shifter was wondering if anyone has put on an after market shift like a hurst without hacking up my center console?

It’s quite possible that you could purchase a direct replacement in clean condition for a reasonable cost from a member of this forum.😃 (It is actually spelled C-u-t-l-a-s-s)😊

It's kinda right there on the fender...


As for the shifter, how does that even happen? In any case, the easiest and least expensive fix is to replace the lever on yours. Lots of used ones available. If you want a Hurst Dual Gate, it was a factory option and reproductions are available.

Shifters like yours are common and inexpensive. If you want an easy way out with a simple replacement, pm me and we’ll make arrangements. If you want a ratchet type of shifter, there is a replacement gate for that shifter that has been well received.

If you want a Hurst Dual Gate, I, as well as others have them available for sale, pm me if interested. The HDG is more expensive and more complicated to install as a conversion but all in all not bad.
