Best trans cooling options

Does it matter whether the input lines enter the radiator from the top or bottom?
I'm guessing plumbing from the bottom would slow the fluid flow slightly increasing the cooling time in the radiator.
Anyone know which line coming off a turbo 350 is the outlet?
Thanks.

Upper line is the return line from the upper portion of the radiator. Refer to page 7-112 here

So to answer your question the bottom is the outlet on the TH350.

Also I would recommend an additional external transmission cooler on any application that will see any towing, racing or a lot of stopping and starting conditions.

Thanks.
I got the info from another site, thought I'd share it.
Top to top,bottom to bottom.
Bottom line off trans = output
(Bottom) of radiator= (input).
Easy!

think about it, it would be very hard to purge air from the cooler if the fluid flowed from the top down.
