Aftermarket Shifter for TH-300 Jetaway Trans

I have a 1965 Cutlass with the TH-300 Jetaway trans. The "T" handle for the console mounted auto trans shifter is broken (most every one I've ever seen has been broken!) Is there an aftermarket shifter from B&M or Hurst that someone has made work for this transmission? I know I put a QuickSilver shifter right into one of these consoles for use with a T-400. The catalogs aren't showing anything for the TH-300. B&M states that their Unimatic shifter will work with most 2,3 and 4 speed auto trans, yet the TH-300 is not on the application chart. What have you guys used when your original shifter "T" handle has broken and you have to push down on a little piece of rod that sticks up out of the handle in order to shift.

I bought my first '65 442 with a broken shifter. The last owner didn't know (I think he forgot...he drank a lot) that you needed to push the button in to move the shifter. He beat on it with a bat. Luckily he only broke the ears off like all the others. I cut the notch on the shaft down and then shortened the internal linkage by the same amount. It worked like new. The only issue was that it put the handle closer to the console plate. Unless you have a giant hand this should not be a problem. You also lose the keyed notch that keeps the handle from turning but if the set screw is kept tight it won't turn.

A Powerglide shifter will also work on an ST300

Are you sure it's broken, mine didn't work when I got my car, I took it all apart cleaned and lubed it and it works perfect.
