Correct 4spd for 1972

What Muncie was factory in 1972 Cutlass, particulaliry a W30? I believe the M22 was 71 only. Was it close or wide ratio? M21 or M20? What size was the drive shaft yoke and also clutch size?

Thanks,

Bill

All are Muncies that you are asking about. M21 and M22 were close and the M20 is wide. Clutches are all 11".

Thanks guys,

Brian was the specs you gave true for the W30 also or was it was the same either way.

Was the W37 more a performance option or did the dual disc give a easier pedal feel.

W37 has two ten inch discs, has more surface area (better performance) and is easier to shift.

Yes,the W30 got the M20 also, which is a wide ratio. The common ratio for the 442's that year was 3:23,but the W30's could be found with 3:42's or 3:73's.
