69 VC question

I am looking at a 69 all original VC. Has the 400BB. Does this mean it should have the TH400?
Can you tell by the picture? Thanks!

Check the tail shaft for size, The 400 has a large yoke, and a 375, looks like a 400 has the 350, 4SP yoke. I had a 72 VC, and when I had it repaired, found out it was a 375, much the same, just not as strong. The one thing I found out, the repair shop, said, it was a good thing the tail shaft bushing was good, as they are real hard to find.

The tail shaft bushing is the same one used in the RWD 700 trans. And the 4L60E. And the 350 trans. The 2004R. And the 250, 200, and I wouldn’t be surprised if it was used in some of the manual transmissions.

If the car is an original 400 motor car, it came from the factory with a real TH400. If it originally was a 350 car, it came with the light duty TH375.
