69 cutlass s with turbo350 tranny

Does the kickdown cable just go directly from the accelerator pedal to the transmission? My assembly manual keeps showing a downshift switch assembly and my American auto wire kit has a connector for the switch. I'm looking at my pre restoration pictures and can't find a switch? Is there a difference between the turbo 400 and turbo 350?

Yes, the TH400 uses an electric kickdown switch and the TH350 uses a cable.

Both the TH400 and Jetaway (which was used in Cutlii for the first half of the 1969 model year) use an electric kickdown. The harness came with that connector and wiring installed no matter what trans you ordered (even MT cars got the same wire harness).
