Hello!
I have installed a 350 Turbo transmission in my car, the kickdown works great. I can utilize Drive and Second, but unable to engage low gear.
I have read through some older posts, just have not found out how folks are able to do this, of can it be done, while maintaining the column shift lever. I am not concerned about the selector window, if it lines up properly while in gear. Thanks for any help on this.

 

It's all in the column linkage adjustment. I have mine adjusted for T400 from a Jetaway and works fine. Of course the selector window will be a little off.

 

ok, that sounds good. Do you have advice or are there instructions that show how to do that?

 

It's been 11 years since I did mine. I adjusted mine to 1st then made sure park was correct. Then make sure the neutral safety switch works in both park and neutral and the backup lights work in reverse. There is a collar with a bolt through it that is used for the adjustment on the shifter rod.

 

ok, thanks for checking back. I understand its been quite awhile since you made that adjustment. I am uncertain how to even get it into 1st. That must be at the transmission? I looked online on how to do this adjustment. It obviously worked for your vehicle.

 

I got it to go into all the gears! Thanks for the help, I made 1 adjustment and it works!
