4spd to 2004r 69 cutlass

am looking for measurements @ dimensions on the hole for the automatic floor shifter cable, shifter mounting and console mounting brackets. all help appreciated

Probably it depends on which shifter you have in mind, for it, and how you want it combined into the console.

You can't use stock dimensions because the 69 never came with a 2004R.

using stock shifter and console bought a kit so stock shifter will work with 2004r , yes i know a 69 cutlass never came with a 2004r. type of trans does not matter as to the stock location of shifter and console

OK, so you just want the information, on installing the stock 69 shifter and console into your 69 Cutlass on placement and brackets, and you will figure out how to get it to shift right with the new transmission. Shiftworks might have a solution on that part. Might..maybe..

Have you pull the carpet yet, when I did my 66 and help a buddy do his 70 wagon there were dimples on the floor pan for the shifter location and I believe the console mounting location. only thing that was not marked was the location for the hole in the floor. the hole in the floor was easy to get in the right spot after we had the shifter was mounted. I used nutserts to mount everything no welding that way.

4 speed to 200 4r

Yes that's what I was inquiring about have not yet pulled up carpet I believe the retrofit kit I have is from shiftworks when I pull up the carpet if there's dimples or any other marks I will post it thanks to all who replied

I think if your by the console mounting brackets, there are templates or measurements on where to put everything. As someone suggested, I wouldn’t be surprised if the dimples or some other locating hint were in the floor.
