Tranny won’t shift out of first, and doesn’t go into reverse anymore either (did yesterday). I already checked the governor and it’s fine, replaced the filter and fluid and gaskets. I attempted to adjust the tv cable. If anyone could let me know that’d be awesome (SD Cali located if anyone’s local)

350 engine from cutlass, 200r4 tranny (in my omega)

 

Before you go any further get a line pressure Guage and check pressures in PN4321 at idle. Then someone in the car holding the brake pedal sane test but disconnect and pull cable to full tv pressure and report back with findings

 

Sprag broken rebuild time

 

agreed overdrive sprag is probably broken.

 

There are several potential causes, nearly all of them require the trans to be rebuilt. On one of mine, which exhibited these same symptoms, the plastic thrust washer between the input drum shell and the lo/rev clutch housing had disintegrated, causing the two parts to weld together.

 

Hopefully @Jayeatwrld comes back. He hasn't signed on in about 6 months.
