1967 Olds442 convertible

Hi,
I am restoring my 1967 Olds 442 convertible.
How do i tell if it has a TH350 or a TH400 trans in it?
Thanks
Greg

If its the original transmission it probably has a T400 switch pitch if its a 3 speed. The difference between the T350 and T400 is the overall length of the trans and the way the passing gear operates. The T400 will have an electric kickdown, the T350 will have a cable operated.

The TH350 didn't exist in 1967. Unless it's been swapped, the only available automatics in 1967 were the TH400 in the 442 and the 2 speed Jetaway in lesser Cutlii. Both used switch pitch converters and electric kickdown.
