'69 Toronado drive-train picture/drawing?
Having just purchased my '69 Toronado back in October, I am interested in "going to school" on the front wheel drive design. I was hoping to find a good picture and/or drawing of the drive train online but my searches have not been successful. If someone out there is aware of such and could provide me with a link, it would be much appreciated.
Thanks

Well your 69 Toronado is going to have the same front wheel drive train and transmission setup that all first generation Toronado’s have. Actually, there are minimal differences in the front wheel drive design on the Toronado from 1966 to 1985. I think what you are looking for you will find in the 1966 GM Engineering Journal specifically on the designing and engineering of the Oldsmobile Toronado. These are somewhat hard to find so I will put the direct links below. In addition, if you are not a member yet of Wildaboutcars.com then I would strongly encourage you to go ahead and register. It’s a free site that has archives of things you will want like the 1969 Oldsmobile Service Manual, 66 -75 Parts and corresponding Illustration Manuals, and ton of other stuff. It is most definitely worth your time…

Here is a big Thank You for providing the links to the Toronado information located at "wildaboutcars.com"....it was just what I was hoping to find. As you recommended, I have joined that web site.
For your information, I have always had a soft spot for the Oldsmobile brand....my first car as a teenager was a '49 Olds Rocket "88" followed by a '52 "88" convertible and an Oldsmobile powered '47 Merc coupe. I can get excited now about a wide variety of wheels (currently also own a '90 Vette convertible, '56 Chevy Bel Air, and a Yamaha 1100 road bike) but I am very anxious to get out on the road with the Toronado.....just need to see some weather that doesn't include mounds of snow.
Thanks again for the help!
