394 rocket drive train Q?

394 rocket drive train Q?

i bought a 64 dynamic with a 394 rocket for the drive train to put in a 32 chevy pickup

the question

how "good" are the trannys in these cars?
i will rebuild it if need be

i do not have that much experience with them but i had a hard time with the linkage adjustments. it is very critical on these transmissions. at least mine was. i also had a hard time finding out who could even rebuild one.

I never understood how something the size of a Slim Jim could move something as big and heavy as a '61 -'64 fullsize car. Then I guess your 32 Chevy shouldnt be a problem. For what it costs to rebuild a Slim Jim I have found it is actually cheaper and more reliable to put a TH-400 behind a 394 from Tanson.
