How many???
#2
Welcom to our website. Unfortunately, I am not sure how many Toronados were made in 1977. They are a pretty car though. I know Oldsguy has a book with production numbers in it. Joe Padavano should probably know too. I am sure someone will chime in and tell you.
You must post some pictures now!
BTW, that is an interesting avatar...

I believe the XS models had the fancy angled rear window glass as their distinguishing feature and produced for only two model years. I have no production numbers either but would suggest very limited production of this model.

I have a 77 toronado right now on my trailer. I have removed a lot of parts. I will be scraping it out this week. IF you need any parts for yours, let me know asap.
As you know they deleted the 455 for 77 and they replaced it with the 403.
thanks and enjoy your toronado.

there were 34,085 toronados made in 1977.
2,713 of these were XS models.
ONly 1 XSR was built.
As to how many are still on the road?? Good question. But they figure less than 25% are still around if that.
So maybe 7,000? or less total.
XS maybe 600?

A specialist makes all the cover-job in a little workshop
40 míles from here.
Last time he did my Lincolnīs vinyl top, and it looks great!
Then there was no rust under.
The vinyl top is now white, but itīs gonna be black!

Your english works fine here. Can't be as bad as american slang anyway. Keep up the communication and you will get better at it anyway. I doubt that many here can speak or write in finnish.

The shop that redid my seats took over 4 weeks to carefully rework the seats and the rear armrest panels.
It took me 4 months to finally get it all back together...
Post pics when you can!

I promise to send new photos, when Olds is home again!
I hope it become soon.
Now I have nothing to do, because I have done all to my Pontiac Trans Am -84, which only wait for next
summer in my garage.
The car which I use "all seasons" is Cadillac DeVille -94. Itīs
nice to drive, and there is only 84000 miles behind. And it works fine.
But now I must just wait.
