Another question
I have another question. My car has the Comfortron system, which I would like to get operating. From reading, I understand how challenging that can be. The original hot water control valve wasn't even on the car anymore and there was some "other" solution. After doing some research, I purchased a NOS hot water control valve (#396927) which I understand to be correct for the 66 and 67 Toronados. Upon installation, I realize that the outlet to the valve is 3/4" and the inlet to the heater core is 5/8". I currently have it put together with some plastic elbows and a 3/4" to 5'8" adapter. Has anyone sourced a heater hose that fits this application? Is there an OEM equivalent replacement? Thanks for all the help so far. This has been an awesome source of accurate information for these cars.

Jaunty75 recommended joining the Toronado Owners Association in another post and I'll second that. The TOA has a Comfortron advisor who can help you with getting it functional again.
Or as functional as a 60 year old Comfortron can get! A friend who retired as an Oldsmobile Zone Service Manager once told me that from 1966-1973 they spent more Zone time trying to make Comfortrons work than anything else in those years.
Be glad you're looking for Oldsmobile Comfortron parts. They seem to be more readily available than the Buick, Chevrolet and especially Pontiac ATC parts. Never understood why GM didn't standardize parts for something as complicated as Comfortron.
