Does anyone know for sure what tires were available on 68s? I've seen redlines before and thought TFDs were standard. I have a triple line white wall from a 70 Toro but didn't know when the switch was made. Thanks for any insight.

 

Cutlass?, Toro? What's TFD? If Cutlass/442, Redlines were std. then whitewalls, 3/8" whitewalls, and blackwall tires.

 

I assumed placing this on the Toro section would make the question clear. TFD's were the Uniroyal specific tires that came on 66/67 Toros. So the unknown is if they continued for 68 or changed styles.

 

Sorry, I was viewing "new posts". A thin whitewall like the redline was available, I am not sure if it was std. My '68 brochure shows these tires on a Toro.

 

Great, thanks for the info. I think Diamondback repops any type of tire whitewall you want so I'll try there.

 

I still have one of the original tires off of the 66 Toro I had, it's a TFD but it was made by Firestone, see attached pics.
