1978 Olds Toronado XS, what's it worth?

Some of you know I bought a couple of 78 Toronados, I just decided to sell one. It's been sitting in storage since the 90's and ran when it was parked. I don't know much about these cars so I am looking for input. It is a unmolested survivor with some minor rust around the rear wheels as shown in the pictures. The vinyl top is good condition, solid and NO rust!

I'm just looking for a ballpark from those who know about these cars on what it's worth in it's present condition?

Thanks!

wells.

Whoops, let a Lincoln pic slip in there. I like the one with red interior better. Check here. I think they have classis car values as well.

As it presents, I'd say $3500-5000. These don't yet have a huge following.

While it's an XS with a moon roof since it hasn't run in over 20 years I don't think it would be worth more than $2k tops. Of course that's just using the WAG thermo. Good luck selling it.

lol yes I see I did, a 78 Mark V that I sold last year. I'm keeping the one with red interior at least for now.

I don't know how you can say it has no rust, clearly it does in the pictures. It's a $1500-2000 car that will need a lot of love.

Cool cars but rare doesn't mean much if the demand isn't there. I tried to help a friend sell one a little cleaner than yours, same blue interior, hadn't been driven regularly in a few years. You will have to find someone who really wants this model. If your not in a hurry to move it start high and gradually drop the price until you hit the point it sells.

Sold this 78 Toronado to a local collector friend for $4250. Last year he also bought my 74 Tbird. He has the most beautiful 3x white 63 Impala SS I have ever seen. Would love to have that. Now that it is staying local we can take both of them to car shows.
