Could use some help with casting numbers to verify a 1967 442 engine. What should the numbers be? Car was built first week of January. Thanks in advance for any help. Is there a casting date for the heads? If so where are they located?

One of the heads (front of the passenger side head or rear of the driver's side head if they were swapped during a valve jobe) will have an engine unit number that begins with the letter "V":
Of course, that just proves that one head is from a 442. The C heads were used on all 1967-69 BBOs (except W-30s and most H/Os), and the 400 block was used in the Turnpike Cruiser and VC.
Casting date codes should typically be within 30 days before the build date of the car; there have been some instances of casting dates up to 90 days before, but that's less likely. Obviously no casting dates can be AFTER the build date of the car.

I seem to remember something about casting numbers on the engine being Julian dates. Can someone explain the Julian date? Where can I find the casting date of the block, intake manifold, exhaust manifolds, etc?

Julian date, numbers 1-365 or 366 for leap years. Example Feb 2 = 33 or Aug 6 = 218 or Dec 31 = 365.
Block casting date located at back of block by distributor, will be a number between 1 and 365.
Intake forward of carb, exhaust manifolds on the side.
