Ball joint

I don’t know what all the suspension parts are really supposed to look like, but this looks screwy to me. My dad said he replaced these about 10 years ago. Do they just look like this while the car is jacked up, or should I take it off the road for a while?

Looks like the back of your spindle and the stabilizer bar link. Get some engine degreaser or Simple Green and clean the greasy parts. You can always lube the ball joints but the boots might be ripped.

Yes they look like that when the car is jacked off the ground.

Thanks for the expertise, I was a little worried about driving.
