Rear Sway Bar Added

I’m putting a new rear sway bar on my 75 Supreme. Will there be a noticeable difference in handling? Going to be 4-5 months before I can test it out here in Ontario.

Without question.

You won't notice any difference in the snow.

Thanks guys. I’m glad it is worth it for the improved handling, money spent and sore shoulder blades and neck muscles. 👍

There is no chance I'd do that to mine and yes it will handle differently in a bad way. Remove it and replace it with an ANTI-sway bar...

Seriously, you will love the difference.

Good luck!!!

Make sure your rear LCAs are up to the task. Are they all boxed on the colonnade cars?

Nope. The rear sway bar on the 1973-77 cars bolts to the bottom of the LCA, and the factory just used a sheet metal insert that bolts into the open side of the arm. It's only a few inches long and does not create a fully boxed LCA like on the earlier cars.

See item #35.

My 442 always had one, so I haven't experienced going from without to with, but my guess is that you will see a difference.

You will notice an improvement when you go around your first bend. I share your pain in that the moment won't be for another few months. Also, IMHO I found its better to do this job when the car is up on a lift. I tried putting mine on ground level and it did not work out well. Once it was on a lift getting something else done it was re-installed and I noted improved handling just from that.
