Moog Coil Springs for 1966 F-85?
Moog Coil Springs for 1966 F-85?
Looking to replace my rear coil springs. I'd like to use Moog, but cannot find an accurate part number. I even called them and they just told me they stopped making springs for my car and couldn't tell me a part number from when they did make them. I tried searching this forum, but there's like 3 or 4 part numbers thrown around. Ideally, I'd like to have numbers for both stock ride height and to raise the rear a bit, just to have options but I am leaning toward keeping the stock ride height.
Look up Mevotech - they make springs aligned with Moog part#s and specs - if you know your Moog part# you can cross-reference it to the Mevotech springs, which can be sourced from them directly or via several other vendors (I bought their p/n SMS6435 rear springs thru Summit)

Thanks guys! So... A friend of mine has a 67 Cutlass and said he had no trouble getting springs off of a Moog website. I went on there and put my car in but with 67 instead of 66 and sure enough the part number came right up. I think for whatever reason the 66 GM cars are just gone from their database. Anyway... Part number 5385 is listed as being for the 1967 Cutlass/F-85/442. 5385 was one of the numbers mentioned in other threads here for the 66 cars, so I'm going to assume it's correct for 66 cars as well. I'm not doing a concourse restoration so it doesn't matter to me--just want the car to sit at close to original stance, so 5385 should work at least for me.
