Wow..I just can't believe how fine the old 64 dynamic 88 handles after a big front end tune-up.
Shocks front and back, upper and lower controller bushings..ball joints... Stabilizer bushings and end kit just to name a few.
I expected an improvement but given the year and heavy frame I am so excited
It holds the road fantastic...Ok excited but its a good feeling when you put in the effort and the money you get a great results....Makes you dream about the next project

 

The front suspension is often ignored when the cosmetic parts of a "restoration" are done, my 63 was really bad when I got it. It always amazes me that people keep driving cars that are obviously unsafe. Even the big cars handle pretty good when everything is correct.

I have enjoyed driving the car but I have always had to keep the car well under its limits.
What I am amazed at is how much body roll I have eliminated. It will be nice to drive with comfort on the highway. I must admit I am trying to find curvy roads around town and see what it can do

 

You should try adding a rear sway bar too. Cheap addition and helps a ton on the big body olds.

 

I agree. Mine is actually enjoyable to drive now. You don't have to chase it around the roade.

 

OK where did you get it..I also was inspecting the rear end ....there seems to be rear "control arm "bushings.....Sorry don't know how to explain it, but two large square bars connected to each coil spring meet together in the center of the car. The place they meet seems to have a bushing. Hope I am explaining it correctly. Are these bushings available.

 

A company called "Rare Parts" makes them. According to their catalog both upper and lower are the same.
Amazon has them the cheapest , about $75 a pair.

For the rear sway bar try " Fabcraft Metalworks" . They have a kit for Pontiacs and it looks like it will fit Oldsmobiles too. $$$$$$
