Parts Cars !964 and 1964 Jetstars

I have two complete cars for sale parts cars only hate to scrap them. One is a 1964 jet star and the other one is a 1965 jet star $500. Cash a piece takes them.

Presumably, too, these are Jetstar 88's and not Jetstar I's? There are major mechanical differences between them.

Location is important for a car sale

1964 J-88 has numerous 1-year, 1-model parts, so any owners should procure parts while they can. Rear axle for example. NO OTHER YEAR OR MODEL.

other good things to keep:
330 cranks
brackets
pulleys
Radio

Both of these cars are Jet star 1's have emblems on rear quarter panel. My son thinks the 65 has a 425 in it. Our location is Iowa Falls, Iowa.

I don't think the motor turns over pulled on fan belt pretty hard and nothing moved so I'm assuming the motor is stuck. These are parts cars only no titles, salvage what parts are good and scrap the rest.

I ain't no expert, but I don't think this is enough to determine if the engine is seized. I don't think the average human has enough strength to rotate the engine merely by grabbing onto a fan belt and pulling, and I don't know that the fan belt wouldn't just slip. You need to put a wrench directly on the end of the crankshaft and try to turn it. Only in this way will will you have enough leverage to actually rotate the engine at all.

If it were me, I would try to find out if the engine is seized. Someone possibly interested in it would be much more interested in it if they knew that, after they'd gone through the trouble of pulling the car out of the weeds, that they actually had a non-frozen engine.

That would be the correct engine, and it was the only engine offered in the Jetstar I. That was perhaps the most significant difference between the '65 Jetstar I and Jetstar 88 as the 88 came with the 330 V-8 introduced the previous year. 1965 was the first year for the 425.

I checked the engine on the 64 and it is seized 3/4 inch drive with all my weight and didn't move.

OK, we'll believe the '64 at least is seized!

Thanks for checking this. I think I'll pass on this one. Too many bad experiences with trying to revive "stuck" engines. Plus distance is a factor too.
