55 olds 98 starfire steering box problems

Hey guys, my shop is working on a 55 98 starfire and the output to the pitman arm on the steering box has about a 1/4 inch of play in it and it's making some serious steering issues. Do any of you guys know where to get a rebuild kit or a reman box.

I've been reading about and hearing people replacing steering boxes lately, because of 'play'!
Did you try adjusting the slop out of it??
On top of the box is a adjustment - unlock the nut and turn the inside shaft [?] until the play is gone - [I have someone turn the wheel back and forth while doing this] re-lock the nut! Done! Play gone!

I've checked all over and haven't found an adjustment for the box, but based on the amount of movement on the output I would imagine it's going to need a rebuild.
