1964 Cutlass Front Sway Bar upgrade

Hello there everyone, quick question here, id like to upgrade my front sway bar from stock oem bar, and i was thinking about buying one, and the bushings & brackets to match the new size of swaybar from the parts place over in Dekalb Illinois, ive had great luck with the company over the years and its fast shipping for me, as im in eastern Iowa. With that said, if i go ahead with the 1 1/4 front sway bar, do i need new swaybar links? Or is it ok to use the new ones that i installed last year to the oem size sway bar. Thanks, appreciate your time everyone, have a great 4th of July weekend, safe travels!

Thanks 72Cuttys, i looked at UMI kits just here recently, whats your overall impressions after upgrading your swaybar? What kit # did you go with? Thanks, appreciate your feedback & time.

It depends on which bar you are using. If you are using the 1.25" Trans Am WS6 bar, you need the T/A end links. If this is an aftermarket bar there's no telling which links you need. FYI, I've been buying the T/A bars at swap meets for $25-$50 each, quite a bit less than the aftermarket bars.

Thanks Joe, appreciate the feedback as always, thats a steal in price compared to what some of these companies are asking for swaybars, just curious, what year or years should i be looking for in regards to snatching 1.25" Trans Am WS6 sway bar & links. Thanka, appreciate your time. I was looking at that Parts Place front swag bar kit, with shipping prolly a good $175 to get it to the door..

The second gen T/As are the ones you need.
