Looking for front sway bar 72 Cutlass S
I have a 72 Cutlass S with a Rocket 350 and AC. I would like to replace the original front sway bar which looks to be about an inch thick for a steadier ride while cornering. I am looking for a 442 sway bar which I have been told is 1" 1/4 to 1" 7/16. If someone can let me know what size sway bar would work best or should I go new. I am also told I can get one from a Chevelle SS with 454. Any help will be appreciated.
Thanks.
Thanks.

There are a number of aftermarket ones that will work, anything that says it will fit from 1964 to 72 A-bodies. Also the TransAm from the 1970's, not sure exactly what years, has a 1 1/4" that with a little grunt and sweat will fit. I put one on a 1972 Cutlass a few years ago. John

If you have the original front sway bar on yours it's a lot smaller than 1"...even a factory 442 front bar from that era was 15/16".
A Chevelle bar MAY be 1" if it's off a '70 or so SS car.
You'll have to step up to the TransAm bars or an aftermarket bar if you want the 1-1/4 or larger sizes.

Looking for front sway bar 72 Cutlass S
Sorry - I don't have much time to check the site often. The kid and car take much of my time. Can you please call me on 405-637-4406. I am interested in the sway bar.
Thanks,
Marco.
